Roy is the founder and Technical Director of RCRProjects.
After working in the Built Environment sector as an electrical engineer, building operator and consultant on flagship projects across the globe for both commercial and public sector clients, Roy established RCRProjects to offer his specialist expertise and knowledge in hard facilities management of the built environment as an independent professional consultant.
Roy provides the technical lead for the business as it expands to provide engineering and project management solutions, complementing his 30 years’ of experience in the Built Environment sector.
As a keen motorcyclist Roy finds any reason to get out on his bikes including recent trips to Europe, South Africa and Australia. He is also a keen golfer and plays as often as time and weather allow. Roy enjoys spending time with the whole RCRProjects family, his grandchildren and even the family dog!

Tom Robinson
EngTech MAPM MIWFM MIoL MCIPHE RP
Operations Director
Tom is Operations Director at RCRProjects and brings more than a decade of mechanical and building-services experience. In addition, he leads the engineering aspects of our project delivery.
Tom is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers and a registered Engineering Technician (EngTech). Having worked in a range of roles within the built environment, Tom contributes a wealth of skills, including pipefitting and plumbing, plus site & project management.
Outside of the office Tom enjoys spending time with his son and at the gym. He is also a keen motorcyclist and often joins the family on biking adventures in the UK and Europe.

Matt Robinson

Strategy Director
Matt is Strategy Director at RCRProjects and leads the continued development of the business, with a focus on strengthening the company’s capabilities, building trusted client relationships, and shaping its long-term vision. He ensures RCRProjects provides clear, practical and technically grounded advice and support that gives clients greater clarity, control and confidence in managing their Built Environments.
Before joining RCRProjects, Matt worked in consultancy, leadership, product development and project management roles across a range of industries. He now applies his breadth of experience to bring a balanced, methodical and outcome-focused approach to RCRProjects’ work.
Outside work, Matt enjoys spending time with his young family. When time allows, he likes to stay active outdoors, particularly mountain biking and motorcycling. He is also a keen guitarist and music enthusiast.

Adam Sawyers

Operations Manager
Adam serves as Operations Manager at RCRProjects, having joined the team in June 2024 following a distinguished 15-year career within the gas industry. He is an EngTech-registered member of the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM), and a Technical member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Adam leverages his expertise in strategic planning, risk assessment, and communication to deliver thorough risk analysis and practical contingency planning advice to our clients, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery.
When at home, Adam takes the time to spend with his young family and has a keen interest in music, football and rugby. He is yet to be convinced join the rest of the team with their enthusiasm for motorcycling, but there is plenty of time to change his mind.

Jan Robinson
Finance & HR Director
Jan manages the RCR office including invoicing and payments, administration and HR.
Jan started professional life as a specialised medical secretary and personal assistant in a demanding finance environment before becoming a stay-at-home mum to Tom and Matt. Combining parenting with working as a classroom assistant, specialising in phonics at a primary school, prior to offering her skills to support and grow the family business.
Outside of work family remains top of Jan’s list and she especially enjoys caring for her three grandchildren. She is a keen gardener and likes to travel, especially on motorbiking trips with Roy through Europe and further afield.

Emma Alford
Business Coordinator
Emma provides project coordination, document control, and organisational support for RCRProjects, ensuring seamless communication, compliance, and financial accuracy across all projects.
With a background in office-based project management and administration across multiple industries, Emma brings structure and consistency to the team, ensuring RCRProjects’ high standards of delivery are maintained.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys creating hand-crafted ceramics in her home pottery studio. She is a keen mushroom forager, often exploring local woodlands with her children, and a passionate foodie who loves discovering new dining experiences.
